Course about the use of chemical information sources in particular through learning Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) and Reaxys databases. The web interfaces of both editors are detailed in order to highlight their abilities to answer queries by :

  • keywords (authors, titles, abstracts ...) with perfect control of the indexing policies and of boolean operators.
  • structure and substructure about substances and reactions.

The access to full-text articles, therefore to available electronic documentation, is described.
